Speaking only for myself, it’s franchise fatigue. There is only one genuinely good Jurassic film, and that's the '93 original. While folks are mixed on the Lost World and Jurassic World, there are increasingly more bad Jurassic movies than good. I think we just need a breather.

Agreed, there’s too many franchises fighting for attention.
I also think the chasm between the quality of the first film and later installments make it even less of an appointment viewing.
